Pick your mail up ahead of time with a pre-arranged collection between 6.00am and 8.30am.

Early Collect™ gives you the option to collect all the available mail for your address, direct from your local Delivery Office. Simply specify your preferred time (between 6.00am and 8.30am) and, if your requested collection time is available, we'll ensure your mail is ready to collect at the same time every day from Monday to Friday, or Monday to Saturday, depending on your requirements. (Please allow for a flexibility window of 15 minutes around your chosen time).

Once we have received your completed application form (available to download from the document library), we will write to you confirming your Early Collect™ start date. If your requested collection time is not available, we will advise you of alternative options. Please allow 21 days for the service to be set up.

The first time you or your nominated representative collects your mail, please bring your confirmation letter and a form of identification as specified in the application form. You will then be issued with a Royal Mail identification card to use for all your future mail collections.

Early Collect™ only allows for the collection of 'available mail'. By this we mean all mail that has been processed, sorted and grouped for your address by the pre-arranged Early Collect™ time.  On your application, you can specify whether you would like any mail sorted after this the pre-arranged time to be held at the Delivery Office for early collection the following day, or delivered with your standard daily delivery. The same options apply if, for any reason, you miss your daily collection time.

Please note that Special Delivery items will be processed in accordance with the relevant service specification, and extra effort will not be applied to make them available at an earlier time under the Early Collect service.  If, however, Special Delivery items have been processed (according to specification) and are ready for use in an Early Collect arrangement at the given time (between 06:00 and 08:30), they will be included as "available mail" at no extra charge.
