On 9th January 2012 we made a number of changes to our terms and conditions to reflect the reality of today's postal market. The changes help bring Royal Mail's terms and conditions more in line with other delivery companies. All Royal Mail products and services are subject to terms and conditions, most of which are available for you to view online.

Non-contract products and services

Some Royal Mail services have their charges, terms and conditions detailed under ‘Schemes.’ These schemes are made under statute, which means that it is not necessary for our customers to have a contract with us when they use any of the services included in these schemes. There are five Schemes made and published under the Postal Services Act 2000, which cover the following products:
